OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
Folsom, California, July 28th 2021: Designed for the Brewer or Wine-Maker whom is frustrated of having to put their beloved elixirs into today’s cans and bottles, which destroy the full sensory experience. A new ready-to-drink ultra-deluxe can solves that problem, and brings beverage enjoyment to an entirely new level. The inventor, Mark Robinson, calls this patented can the AROMA-Can. This new can allows all the benefits of drinking from a glass, and more.
The AROMA-Can has two additional openings on top to allow the drinker to smell those incredible aromas that beverages have, to better see and feel the effervescence of the bubbles and liquid, all while retaining the spill-resistance of current bottles and cans. It also has a tactile indicator directly on the back that allows the drinker to properly align the can to their mouth so they won’t spill it. The example of the AROMA-Can shown here has a custom ‘StarTrek’ inspired pull-flap that swivels around the can to mate with a click-stop at each leaf, to pop open each opening. Mr. Robinson likes this proven methodology even in the modern age, because the three leaves fold down into the top surface of the liquid to add even greater spill and slosh resistance. He spiritedly states that when tipped sharply, the AROMA-Can has so much greater air-flow than current cans that it pours, "as fast and smooth as Folsom Dam’s main spillway.”
For the last couple of decades, can-manufacturers have used their latest and greatest technology to produce cheaper and lighter cans that use as little aluminum as possible, and they’ve done a great job at it. However, Mark says that this is the wrong way to go for cans made to dispense fine beers and wines. He asserts that a can that is a little thicker on the bottom and sides will maintain the chill of the beverage a lot longer, while also complementing the deluxe sensory features that the AROMA-Can introduces. He’s also lobbying for the can-manufacturers to give the green light for beverage makers to design their own unique custom pull-flaps, maybe even going beyond the traditional stamped, formed variety. That would make things a lot more interesting. Asked if he’s trying to promote the AROMA-Can so that everyone should use it, Mark says,
"in order to experience a beverage to its fullest, you need this can.”
Mr. Robinson believes that licensing for a brewery or winery to use the AROMA-Can will be at a rate of a half cent per can. To get this can produced, a sufficient number of them will have to request it now. "Help me help you," Mark says. "Otherwise, can-manufacturers will think all is well and brush this off." Brewers and Wine-makers are encouraged to talk-it-up with their friends and acquaintances at other breweries and wineries, and with fearless influential business leaders, to build an overwhelming consensus. Then contact their can-manufacturer without delay to tell them they want the new state-of-the-art AROMA-Can. "It’s time for us to tell the can-manufacturer what we want, not to have our manufacturer tell us what we want."
